Sitting Hip External& Internal Rotation


Goal:



-To strengthen your hip muscles, correct hip rotation deformity.


Procedure:


Internal Rotation:

-Patient is sitting with legs hanging over the edge of the table.

-The patients will move the foot away from the other leg to internally rotate the hip.


External Rotation

-Patient is sitting with legs hanging over the edge of the table.

-The patients will move the foot towards the other leg to externally rotate the hip.








                                          Notes:

-Do not rotate, turn or move your top leg during the exercise.


-Do not do the exercises unless advised by your doctor.


-Repetitions of each exercise depend on your tolerance and condition, usually between 30-50 times.


-If you feel any pain while doing the exercises stop and ask your doctor.
